Terrible blogger....

I did  not capture the last few months of my goals like I wanted to. As you can see, I finished my first half. It was tough. I have so many new goals for 2013. If I can just figure out how to change this blog title. :)

I did the Half. :)

So proud....

I am a happy wife, mommy, aunt and sister-in-law! The entire family is getting so active and healthy. I am posting some pictures of our run today. It tickled my soul to see the kids and husbands running and enjoying themselves! Yay for motivation!!!

A special YAY for Jaynna! This girl can almost run 2 miles without stopping on her 3rd week!!!

Enjoy the pics!

Ps. A few of you have promised to join the cause and make me a happy bff.....I'm still waiting!

Joseph somehow dodged the camera.....but I will get him next time and his little doggy too!

Also, I really wish I would have taken pics of our kids cheering us on. So sad!  Better at the color run....I promise!

If you don't use it, you will lose it!

RACE #6.....was the midnight run in Cullman.

I had two people who ran with me this time. (My bff Heather had to work) :(

Now, when I say ran with me I don't me beside me. Joseph Hinson does not know the definition of running with someone.  He blew us away!  I was so glad to see him for a second ;) oh to be 16 and in shape again. I gave him the one day you will be fat and slow talk. He did great I think his time was like 26:00. Wowza, one could only dream.

My sister-in-law Jaynna participated in her very first 5k. I am so proud of her. If you know her, you know running is out of her element.  This girl gave it 100% this week trying to get ready for this race. The best news of all, she is gonna do more races with me. Yay!!!!

I haven't ran too many days in the last few months and buddy it showed. I have had some medical issues come up in the last few weeks as some of you may know.  At one point this week they were trying to rule out aneurysm and congenital birth defect. Yesterday, I found out that aneurysm, stroke, tumor and MS were all ruled out. Praise the Lord. Now, I still have a numb face and vertigo but I will survive! I had a CTA yesterday and the contrast made me a little sick.....that is my excuse for being so slow anyways. I had made my mind up at the beginning of the week i would run regardless of any diagnosis I was given.

Now, race details....
What a hilly little course this was!  600-700 runners were there. If you know Cullman that is a huge turn out. I paid for my laziness, I promise you. I am not ashamed of my time of 40:00, I just use it as a lesson learned. The coolness of the night was a trick....once the running started it was a quick warm up! I sweated like it was noon. I didn't enjoy running at night. I was afraid I would fall on the concrete.....many people did! My ipod music was terrible and I was uninterested. Honestly, every hill I got to I was ready to vomit, cry and fall over. I finished, that is all I can say.

I intend on intense training for the next 14 weeks. Yes, 14 weeks til half marathon. Whoohooo. A mixture of running, spinning and swimming is the plan.

Thanks for the support these past few weeks. I love you all so much!

Pics to come shortly,

Jennifer

Getting back on the wagon.....

Hey ya'll,

I'm back.

Life throws you curve balls....you can either swing and miss or knock it out of the park.

I am going to complete my 12 races in 2012.
I am going to complete my HALF MARATHON on my 30th birthday.

I have to finish things that I start, that is how I am wired.

Now, let's talk business. Today I started training for the half marathon. Not only did I start, but my sister-in-law JAYNNA started!! I am so excited to have Jaynna coming along. We have been through a lot together and love each other dearly. That Jaynna is a trooper. She likes to be motivated and I like to boss...that makes us a wonderful team.

The training course is a 12 week program, we have 15 weeks til the race. I know, I know! We are gonna double up until we get to 12 weeks away for endurance purposes. This and next week we have to run around 10 miles. :)

Oh!!! Did I mention the midnight run is Friday night? Yep, it sure is. Hopefully, I will have some running buddies join me. HINT HINT.

Where is Heather?? Listen ya'll, skinny 24 year old chicks don't have to train as much as chubby mothers. But to answer your question....Yes she is still in it!!

More to come tomorrow!!

Love,

Jennifer

PS. Hubby ran 1.5 miles. He did pretty good....if I have to admit that. ;)
