Race #3....

Whelp folks, we finished race #3 in Cullman called the Hope for One Less Orphan 5k. These people are  adopting a child from China, we were tickled pink to help out.

I've been telling you there would be some new faces at this race and now it's time to reveal them. My sweet friend Andy and his beautiful wife Sarah adopted a little girl from China. So the Hinson's bundled up and came to support the cause. Their adorable sons, James and Joseph, participated in the 5k and did a spectacular job!!! Mr. James was my motivation to keep running. The new addition to their family, Emily Margaret, had a blast playing with John and the men folks. She is a DOLL. John asked Sarah if we could have her...the verdit is still out.

Our other friendly face was none other that little Stacie Malin. She was amazing for someone who 'hasn't been running'. We were so glad to have her join the crew and look for her sweet face many times in the future!!!

You know ole faithful Heather was their with her cray cray husband Ryne. They are so much fun and I love spending time with them.

Finally, Derek was off of work and it was warm enough to bring my baby John. Yay!!  There is nothing more heart warming than seeing your child cheering you on. Love it!

Now to the race! Heather and her hubby Ryne drove the course and assured me that the course had very little incline. Ummm. Yeah. NO. Can you say multiple hills.... more hills than we have ever ran before. So needless to say, my time was not the best. I started with Heather and of course she left me, as well as Stacie and Joseph. (I left my rope at home to tie around the Hinson children, dang it). So I had sweet little James to run with. He did great!!!

Now, Heather was under the weather and I've been instructed not to post Stacie's time.....Yours truly and James did their time around 36. Joseph slaughtered us all with a time in the 20s. Again, why did I forget the rope??

We all won door prizes which was awesome! The best news of all HEATHER AND STACIE WON MEDALS. Wowza so proud of my girlz.

The best part of all... we spent Saturday with friends helping a family adopt a precious child. That is alot better than sleeping the day away. What a blessing to have amazing people in my life!

Next on the agenda is a 10k at the blooming festival. YIKES. This girl needs to stay motivated and practice, practice, practice.

I am ready for a nap. I will post pictures this afternoon.

Love y'all,

Jennifer
